If you wish to understand the Return of Jesus Christ, you need to understand the Book of Daniel.
Along with the Book of Revelation, the Book of Daniel is the most important prophetic book in the bible.
The prophecies in Daniel are very detailed and many of them have been fulfilled to the letter and to the day as prophesied.
There is, however, a portion of the prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled. Does this mean the prophecies were wrong? No; it does not. It simply means that the day of fulfillment has not yet arrived. But the day will come. And all of the final events prophesied will unfold exactly as detailed in Daniel.
What are these events? Will the world come to an end as many believe? When will this happen? How will it come about? Can we really know? Does the book of Daniel really reveal any of this?
"Understanding the Book of Daniel" is a book based upon a series of lectures that the well-respected Christian preacher, theologian and author Dr H A Ironside delivered in the early 20th century.
Dr Ironside went into great detail, covering each verse and each chapter in order. His explanations are easy to understand and follow.
Dr Ironside was speaking to students who presumably knew the bible and thus could follow the numerous bible verses to which he referred. Not everyone is a bible student and/or knows the bible so well. To help the reader, "Understanding the Book of Daniel" includes all bible references and their complete verses so the reader does not have to have a copy of their bible at hand.
There is so much misunderstanding about the coming of the End Times, the End of the World, the Apocalypse, World Domination by an Anti-Christ and so on. So many people publish books, pamphlets and other information that simply generate fear. They're like doom-sayers carrying signs that say "The End is Near"!
Yes; the end may be near. It may be tomorrow. It may be decades a way. But is it to be feared?
'Understanding the Book of Daniel" reveals the true purpose of Daniel - to warn of judgments to come upon the Earth, to be aware of them so as to be prepared, and to be comforted that God knows what is to come and has a plan for his children, his people.
"For the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." Isaiah 41:13
